Route 346 Pownal VT
Welcome a new season and get to know your river with a free recreational bike tour on September 28. The ride is co-presented by the Pownal Recreation Task Force and the Hoosic River Watershed Association (HooRWA). The 23-mile loop begins and ends in Pownal at the intersection of Route 346 and Lincoln Street, next to the former Mack Molding parking lot. It includes optional shortcuts for a 10-mile or 17-mile version of the ride. (Note: the route is paved except for a one-mile section of hardpack gravel on Indian Massacre Road.) Bring snacks and water. Meet at 9:45 am for a 10 am start.
Leaders: Pownal resident Julie Mackaman and HooRWA board member Lauren Stevens. Contact Julie at firstname.lastname@example.org or 413-207-1609 by September 25 to preregister and to receive an email that morning if weather forces us to reschedule for the following morning.
