The State of the River Conference. A panel discussion on the Hoosic River as a fishery. Speakers from New York, Massachusetts and Vermont state fish and game agencies will provide updates on state management plans and answer questions on the health of the fish populations. (Maybe you’ll learn where the big ones are!) Griffin Hall is located on Route 2, Main Street in Williamstown https://map.williams.edu/?id=640#!m/73060 and parking is located behind the hall and at Sawyer Library.
HooRWA, with the assistance of the Williams College Center for Environmental Studies, is pleased to provide the public an opportunity to ask fisheries experts about the status of the fishery and the current management challenges. By bringing together agency professionals from all three states, HooRWA seeks to cultivate a tri-state discussion that could lead to a greater level of collaboration and cooperation in efforts to monitor the status of the fishery resource, and to adopt appropriate conservation measures to ensure long term benefits for our citizens. Light refreshments and snacks will be offered.
