HooRWA is a citizens’ group that looks after the river. We are dedicated to the habitat restoration, conservation and enjoyment of the Hoosic River and its watershed, through education, research and advocacy. We envision a watershed that is ecologically sound and adds to the quality of life of its residents.
HooRWA’s next event will be an art exhibit, Riverworks 2020 at Linear Park off of Water Street in Williamstown.
Over 17 artists will have exhibits of mixed media along portions of the new trail along the Green River.
The trail will be fully open for hikers in 2021 but we wanted to get the early start on appreciating this great river resource by showing local artist’s work. The exhibit is open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, September 26th. Artist’s work will remain throughout the week and our opening day will have music by Mocha Jam and information on HooRWA and this year’s projects. Parking can be found in the town lot across from Linear Park on Water Street.
HooRWA has published “Dispatches from the Beyond Place: Tales of the Hoosic River,” A copy can be found here on our website under the About Us tab and then under History.
