HooRWA is proud of our ongoing – and expanding – river quality monitoring efforts: sampling for bacteria, DNA, benthic macro invertebrates, chloride, nitrate, phosphorous, and temperature. Our work informs Town, State, and Federal agencies across our three-state communities of trouble spots that need attention and remediation. Significantly, this monitoring work also tells us where restoration efforts have met with success. As a HooRWA member/donor you are a vital agent for positive change in our Watershed. Your financial support keeps us motivated, knowing you are counting on us to serve as River protectors to strengthen the resiliency of our beautiful River and Watershed. And, you add volume to HooRWA’s voice when we speak out for policies that will ensure a clean, safe River and a healthy Watershed.

Your donations are federally tax deductible. And, Massachusetts has a new charitable contributions deduction. It’s available to all taxpayers, whether or not you itemize deductions on your federal return. Just keep track of your contributions and report them on the state tax return you file in the first part of 2024. They’ll be deducted from your taxable income. This deduction is universal, and permanent, so you can utilize it every year going forward.
