You must register at bikereg.com (listed under Northeast events) to be included in this event.        Meet: At the Hoosac School located in Hoosick Falls, NY (near the intersection of County Rt. 103 and NY Rt. 7) at/near 8:00 a.m.  Leader/:  contact Steve McMahon at 413-458-2742, or email him at s.mcmahon@hoorwa.org, for more event details.
“This is a lovely ride along the Hoosic River, through beautiful farmland – mostly on lightly traveled roads,” said Lisa Carey Moore. “Once you do it once, you will want to do it again! ” The ride benefits the Hoosic River Watershed Association, a tri-state, Williamstown, MA. based river advocacy group. Riders have a choice of; 100-mile, 75-mile, 50-mile, 30-mile or seven-mile loBikers on SVC hillops, crossing covered bridges,  passing historic sites-as well as, on the longest run, circling the Tomhannock Reservoir in  New York State.

Below are a few of the comments received over the years:

“Thanks for a great ride yesterday. My friends were impressed by the organization and the route as well as the scenery and appreciation for the Hoosic River Watershed.”

“.. a great day, made by your and the other volunteers’ efforts. You had the course well laid out— I did not make one wrong turn.”

“Once again, it was a great ride this year…you couldn’t ask for a prettier day! Thanks for all your work over the years and the incredible job you’ve done organizing the Hoosic River Ride. My friends and I look forward to it every year.”

Paddling between North Adams and Pownal is usuallly safest when the Williamstown gauge reads 200cfs - 700cfs.
